All-on-4® Implants

Dr. Tarun Agarwal has performed the innovative All-on-4® Teeth-in-a-Day procedure since 2009, transforming patients' lives with high-quality, full arch tooth replacement.

Who is a Candidate for All-on-4 Teeth-in-a-Day?

You are a candidate for All-on-4 Teeth-in-a-Day if you have lost most or all of your teeth in one or both arches. Because the replacement teeth are anchored by dental implants in your jawbone, this treatment provides a stable, natural-looking solution.

The All-on-4 Teeth-in-a-Day Procedure

Initial Consultation

The first step is an All-on-4 consultation with Dr. Agarwal to review your medical and dental history and evaluate your current oral health to ensure you're a good candidate.

Treatment Planning

Dr. Agarwal uses our 3-D cone beam CT scanner to find the areas of your jaw with the densest bone. He then uses the scans to plan your surgery, creating a surgical guide to ensure the precise placement of your implants.

Implant Surgery

On the day of the procedure, we will remove any remaining teeth in the affected arch. Then Dr. Agarwal places the dental implants using the surgical guide for optimal results.

Temporary Denture and Healing

A temporary denture is attached to the implants on the same day so you will leave our office with a complete, functional set of teeth. You will wear the temporary while your gums heal and the implants integrate with the jawbone.

Placing Your Final Denture

After 3–6 months of healing, we replace the temporary with your final custom-crafted denture. The result is a beautiful, natural-looking set of replacement teeth that feel and function very much like real teeth.

CandidPro Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are a modern orthodontic treatment that uses clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth without the need for traditional metal braces. Clear aligners correct issues such as crooked teeth, gaps, crowding, and mild to moderate bite problems (overbites, underbites, crossbites, and open bites).

Who Is a Good Clear Aligner Candidate?

You may be a good clear aligner candidate if you:

  • Have mild to moderate orthodontic issues, such as crooked teeth, gaps, or bite problems.
  • Are committed to wearing your aligners the recommended 20-22 hours per day.
  • Understand that treatment requires visits every 6-8 weeks to monitor your progress.
  • Have healthy teeth and gums without untreated tooth decay or gum disease.

It's essential to consult with the dental professionals at Raleigh Dental Arts to determine if clear aligners are the right choice for your specific needs.

Benefits of Clear Aligners

Clear aligners offer numerous advantages compared to traditional braces:

  • Discreet — Clear aligners are virtually invisible, allowing you to undergo orthodontic treatment discreetly.
  • Comfortable — Clear aligners are made from smooth, BPA-free plastic, which reduces irritation to the cheeks and gums.
  • Convenient — Removable aligners allow for easy oral hygiene, as you can brush and floss without any obstacles.
  • Flexible — You can enjoy your favorite foods without restrictions by removing the aligners for meals.
  • Predictable — Clear aligners use advanced 3-D imaging and planning technology, so you and your dentist can visualize the expected outcome before treatment even begins.

Cosmetic dentistry improves your smile by addressing aesthetic concerns and enhancing the overall appearance of your teeth. Raleigh Dental Arts is pleased to offer a wide range of cosmetic dental treatments designed to correct specific issues and boost your self-confidence.

How We Use Cosmetic Dental Treatments

Common concerns we address with cosmetic dentistry include:

  • Discolored or stained teeth — Our teeth whitening treatments brighten your smile, removing stains and discoloration caused by food, beverages, or tobacco. For your convenience, we offer a take-home teeth whitening option.
  • Chipped or cracked teeth — Dental bonding, porcelain veneers, or dental crowns can repair and restore chipped or cracked teeth. These treatments are a great investment because they improve your smile’s aesthetics and protect tooth structure.
  • Misaligned or crooked teeth — Clear aligners correct misaligned or crooked teeth, resulting in a more uniform and attractive smile. Clear aligners are a discreet, comfortable, and convenient alternative to traditional metal braces.
  • Gaps between teeth — Using dental bonding, porcelain veneers, or orthodontic treatment, we can close gaps between teeth to create an even more harmonious smile.
  • Missing teeth — Dental implants, bridges, or dentures can replace missing teeth, restoring both function and aesthetics to your smile.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are an excellent solution for replacing multiple teeth or even an entire arch of missing teeth. Raleigh Dental Arts offers several tooth replacement options with dental implants.

If You Need Multiple Tooth Replacement

For multiple missing teeth, we recommend an implant-supported bridge. For this type of tooth replacement, our dentists place dental implants in your jawbone, which act as anchors for a custom-made dental bridge. The bridge spans the gap left by the missing teeth and, unlike a traditional bridge, does not require the alteration of adjacent healthy teeth.

If You Need Full-Arch Tooth Replacement

All-on-4® implants, also called Teeth-in-a-Day, are an innovative and effective solution if you are missing all teeth in your upper or lower dental arch. All-on-4 uses just four strategically positioned dental implants to support a full-arch denture.

This procedure is popular because it offers several benefits. After implant placement, you’ll leave our office the same day with temporary replacement teeth so you can smile confidently as your implants heal. When your final restoration is placed, you’ll have a beautiful, functional, and confident smile.

Sleep Apnea & Snoring

Sleep apnea treatment is crucial for maintaining overall health. Left untreated, sleep apnea increases your risk of developing serious health issues, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

Diagnosing Sleep Apnea

While we don’t diagnose sleep apnea directly at Raleigh Dental Arts, we work closely with trusted sleep physicians and specialists who do. Proper diagnosis typically involves a sleep study, either at a sleep center or through a home test, to monitor your breathing patterns and vital signs while you sleep.

Oral Appliance Therapy for Sleep Apnea

Once a sleep physician diagnoses your sleep apnea, our dentists can provide oral appliance therapy as an effective treatment option. Oral appliance therapy (OAT) involves creating a custom-fitted device that repositions your lower jaw or tongue to keep your airway open during sleep. This device helps alleviate sleep apnea symptoms, such as loud snoring and disrupted sleep.

For those who qualify, oral appliances are a comfortable and convenient alternative to continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines that many people can’t tolerate. OAT devices are easy to wear and maintain, making it easier to comply with treatment.

Working Together for Your Sleep Health

At Raleigh Dental Arts, we understand how vital restful sleep is to your overall health and well-being and how your body and life are affected when deprived of it. By addressing your sleep apnea symptoms, we can help you achieve a better night's sleep, improving your quality of life and overall well-being.

Types of Sedation We Offer

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Inhaled through a small mask, nitrous oxide provides a relaxed sensation, ideal for mild to moderate anxiety. Its effects wear off quickly, allowing you to return to your usual routine shortly after your visit.

Oral Conscious Sedation

For moderate anxiety or complex procedures, oral sedation involves taking a prescribed sedative before your appointment to help you feel calm and relaxed. You'll remain conscious during your procedure but may not remember much. For your safety, we require that you arrange a driver to take you to and from your appointment.

IV Sedation

Administered intravenously, IV sedation offers a deeper level of sedation if you experience high anxiety or are having extensive dental work. Our team will closely monitor you throughout the procedure to ensure your safety. IV sedation also requires that you have a responsible adult to drive you home.

General Anesthesia

For patients with special needs or those undergoing complex procedures, we offer general anesthesia administered by an anesthesiologist at our office. This option ensures complete comfort and relaxation during your treatment.
