Dr. Tarun Agarwal, DDS is considered one of the top dentists in the country. He is a recognized speaker, author, and dental leader. He has been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, and News 14 Carolina. Dr. Agarwal has been awarded '40 under 40' Business Leaders by the Triangle Business Journal.
He is regularly invited to teach other dentists around the world and recently built a training center within the practice dedicated to sharing his expertise.
Most importantly he is a loving husband and dedicated father of three wonderful children. His biggest accolade was being voted 'Best Dad in the World' by 2 of his 3 kids.
Shaharyar Fiza, DMD is a general dentist at Raleigh Dental Arts. Originally a scientist he continues to stay at the forefront of the latest development and innovation, particularly in minimally invasive dentistry. He has published articles on advanced procedures and products in the field of cosmetic dentistry.
He has held a teaching position at an aesthetic dentistry institute where he lectured and mentored fellow dentists on cosmetic dentistry. Currently, he serves as a mentor at 3D Dentist teaching institute in Raleigh, NC.
Dr. Fiza attended North Carolina State University where he obtained his pre-doctoral studies and graduated with Honors in Biological Sciences and Genetics. He continued his post graduate studies at the university of Pittsburg where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Originally from California, Michele moved to Raleigh with her family in 2015. Michele has a degree in Kinesiology from St Mary's College in California. She has 6 years experience in patient care and has been a part of the Raleigh Dental Arts team since 2018.
In her free time, Michele enjoys riding at Cycle Bar, hiking with her puppy, playing tennis and golf. She says she loves that every day she can learn something new. Dental technology is constantly evolving and teaching us new ways to better serve our patients.
Meghan has been a part of the Raleigh Dental Arts team since 2012 and has truly found her work home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from UNC Chapel Hill.
Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Weekends usually consist of watching one of her daughter's athletic games. Her family loves the outdoors. Meghan also enjoys early morning workouts at Burn Boot Camp and trying new restaurants with her friends.
Meghan says she originally became interested in dentistry as a child after falling and injuring her two front teeth. The dentist she had was amazing and made her feel comfortable, explaining everything throughout the process of recovery.
Dentistry is an incredibly personal and vulnerable area for most people. When a patient needs dental work it can become overwhelming and stressful. Meghan understands that and enjoys working with patients to help achieve their dental health and goals, striving to make every visit a more comfortable and positive experience.
Jessie completed Dental Hygiene in 2007 at Wayne Community College and has been a part of the Raleigh Dental Arts team since 2016.
In her spare time, Jessie enjoys crafts, painting and DIY projects. She also likes to visit the beach, theme parks, and hiking trails.
Being a keen animal lover Jessie also likes to find the next dog to pet!
Jessie says when she was a child she was terrified of the dentist. She would cry on the way there. Her dental hygienist was always so comforting and sweet and helped conquer her fears of the dentist. Now Jessie likes to do the same for her patients, to try and make their visit something to look forward to.
Liz has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Greensboro and went to the University of Chapel Hill to complete Dental Assisting. Liz has been a part of the Raleigh Dental Arts team since 2008 working for Dr. Agarwal as his lead assistant before transitioning into the role of Sleep Coordinator in 2016. As our Sleep Coordinator, Liz helps those suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea and CPAP intolerance to find other alternatives through oral appliances.
Liz enjoys traveling, trying new food, biking and gardening. Liz says in her many years at Raleigh Dental Arts she has seen the difference we have made in peoples lives through changing their smiles to improve their confidence. For others, their health by giving them back the ability to eat and enjoy food which has improved the quality of their life.
